When i put an activity on a Volunteers Status, for example Referred to Organisation, and assign it to the organsiation I referred to, is there any way you can set it so it doesn't send an activity status to the organisation? I keep getting organisations contacting me querying what it is when they are sent an Activity Status e-mail and it is not something they need as they have already had the original referral.

You need to put the name of the organisation in the 'with' field, NOT the 'assigned to' field to ensure the automatic email is not sent. You can put as many organisation names as you want in the 'with' field.
