I think i might have asked this before but am more concerned now due to GDPR. The problem is that when i send a follow up e-mail to an individual, it includes the opportunity details at the bottom with all the opportunity contact details.
I have been on the Admin/Opportunity E-mail content settings and it says it is included by default. Surely this is breaching the new GDPR regulations as some of the e-mails are addressed to a person rather than a general info@
Can anybody advise please.
Thanks
Janette
Hi Janette
This shouldn't be a problem because the giving of the organisation's contact details (be they personal or business - there's no difference really) should be covered by you Privacy and Data Protection Policy. Also the agreement that the organisation completes when signing up to the brokerage service.
Remember GDPR not so much stops you doing legitimate stuff - it just says you should tell folks what you are doing.
Thank you for the reply. I am still not really sure why the organisation contact details need to be on there when it is me who deals with all their enquiries.
Thanks anyway
I can't really comment about that because we are not using Do-it/V-BaseC now. But when we refer we send an email to both the org and the vol and basically tell them to get on with it.
However, using our system (VolunteerPlus) you can configure everything like that anyway.
