Request for VEDA help please

Hi Parvez,

I would like to talk to you about you visiting us to take us through the system in detail and make it work for us, unfortunately we don't have the resources in time or people to play and try and figure out how to set it up correctly and then use it effectively for our organisation, but are under pressure to do so as soon as possible.

Please can you get in touch re whether this is possible and costs, would appreciate as soon as you are able? My email is reena.mistry@voluntaryworks.org

Many thanks

Reena

Hi Reena, Could you let us know the following details

  • You Volunteer Centre Location
  • Would you be able to accommodate, if other VCs like to join the session
  • List of issues that you can share

Once we have this information, We'll get back to you.

Thanks

Reena

Hi

I am Voluntaryworks Luton, based out of the VCA office in Leighton Buzzard.  I think we need this to be specific to us as we need to understand how to get the information/data we need to report on, and therefore what we need to be entering, how the system processes actions to make this happen etc. rather than a generic training/workshop.  I guess if you have others who have similar needs, then we do have a meeting room that can be used, but it would only accommodate 12 people, and there will be at least 5 of us.  I think we need you to prove to us we can get what we want out of this system.

Thanks

Hi Reena

We are in South Northants (so not far from you).  I can understand your position, as generic training often never gets to the points you want to cover.

However we are in a very similar situation to you, and would be keen to come down to Leighton Buzzard to join in if that would work for you.

I know that Parvez is keen to catch multiple groups at the same time!!

Hi Richard

Yes that would be good, I have seen that you have done a lot of groundwork/testing from all of your comments already, and that is really useful to have that feedback for VEDA as well as us. Maybe if VEDA tells us what they need to know in advance it will help them plan to make it a really useful session or couple of sessions if needed.

VEDA/Parvez what do you think?

Thanks

Parvez

Hi Reena/Richard

In order to get the maximum out of the session its best if we have all of the aspects/questions you have 2 weeks before the schedule so that we have time to setup some examples on the QA site or resolve any bugs etc.

If its a Q&A style workshop then I would suggest that not every member of the team be present so that we can have a few more VCs attend, each VC should try to have a couple of VBC champions so to speak who can transmit information to the rest of the team. Once we've fixed a date we can push it up onto the VBC site and invite others to come along. We'll take into account capacity at the venue so as to not allow overbooking.

Hope that makes sense?

I'm up for that.  I don't think it would take me long to list my top questions and requests!!

Hi

My list is going to be longer as we are starting from scratch - I will pull a list together of what I think we need and post it next week as I am finished for the week now.  I also know of another VC that will be starting from a similar point who may find this session useful.

thanks
