Unable to connect to server error

Hi 

I am trying to create new organisations and opportunities, and when trying to edit sections of the Organisation page, I keep getting the Network Error - Unable to reach the server error message - both yesterday and today.  The page won't let me edit any details or save changes.

Is anyone else having this issue?  Even when I refresh and try again it's not working so I am having to go into Do-it and amend the organisation there.

Also, it then tells me to ' Please correct the following errors in the form fields below:' but deosn't explain what the problem is, then it tells me 'This record was modified by another user!', when I click Save Anyway I get the Network Error message again.

Hi Reena,

We tested and found no issues in saving organisations/opportunities. Would you mind providing us some screenshots of the error messages?

We have been getting the same 'Network Error - Unable to reach the server error message' message when trying to view Activities since las week. Also, we are not getting emails on scheduled reminders. Are the two connected?

Are you still having problems in View Activities? Would you mind send us a screenshot of the error message and the page details?

Do you mean the schedule mailings? We can't find any mailing scheduled recently in your account

The problem with the Activities has been resolved, but we are getting other issues as outlined in a seperate comment.

Sorry for the delay here are a couple of examples attached - I am trying to make changes to an organisation and every time I try and save I get the message, sometimes it does save if you keep clicking on it.

Thank you for posting this Reena - we get the first issue a lot but usually we can refresh the page and it clears and saves. We have also frequently had the second issue and it is very frustrating - my volunteer thinks it has happened when she has made an amendment and then gone back in to amend again very quickly. She clicks on "save anyway" and it mostly does seem to save the info. It doesnt happen every time so if it is intermittent maybe it is difficult for Veda to pick up the error??

We are having the same issue in Epsom and Dorking in the last few days, we can't save edited opportunities. It has also been really slow all week.

It would help to know what browsers folks are using.  We found all sorts of associated problems and glitches when using IE, but always seems OK on Chrome.

We do get the server messages occasionally, but pretty well always OK if we retry.

Gopi, in reference to some of the comments others have made, I have not used VBC often recently, but everytime I have tried over the past month I get the error.

The problem is still happening on opportunities and this has been happening for a while now. Although the 'Opportunity updated' message is displayed, the opportunity is not being updated. Needless to say, this is causing a problem with updating and renewing opportunities.

I've just tried to put on a new opportunity and got both the "Opportunity has been added" and the "Opportunity cannot be added because of a technical issue" and it hasn't saved. 

I've got a pile of opportunities that need to be posted, and I've got two newsletters waiting to go but I can't send them until the opportunities have been put up. I have explained to our organisations that there are problems but it's getting embarrassing.

Please advise. Thank you.

I have just tried to amend an existing opportunity and got the attached technical issue error, and it HAS NOT saved my changes.

I have been getting the same error messages, we have a lot of new opportunities to be put on to the system and i agree with Janet this is starting to get embarrassing. Also I have tried putting the opportunities on through the Do-it website but they still have not appeared on Vbase since yesterday morning.

Could someone please advise when this issue will be fixed?

I'm getting the same issue but only when trying to update opportunities. I'm also finding that there are roles that are on Do-It when I click through from the organisation record but when I search just in 'my opportunities' they aren't there.

My problem is in VBC not Do-it!  PLease can you see my attachment above, I think the last point is on a slightly different issue.

Even though your problem is manifesting in VBC it stems from Do-it. As soon as you save in VBC we communicate the change to Do-it immediately. For your changes Do-it is rejecting them for some unknown reason and therefore the changes are then being lost. VBC tries to ensure its in sync with Do-it at all times, unfortunately this is one of the side affects.
