I'm still having problems trying to save opps that I have edited with the 'Please enter a valid UK postcode' error message. I'm having problems in both Do-it and VBC. I thought that this issue has been fixed but obviously not, although it does seem to be intermittent which is strange, Please could someone advise when this will be fixed as its causing major problems. I need to make some opportunities that are no longer available into drafts but it won't let me.
Thanks!
Hi Jen,
We can't see any activities on 'https://v-base.org/volunteernow/' account. Could you confirm your site URL, opportunity name and the time of the issue?
Thanks
Hi Gopi, thanks for coming back to me. I have just tried to edit the opportunity again and have had the same problem, please see screenshot attached. The Opportunity name is Home Visiting Service (Arun Area) for Age UK West Sussex (Arun and Chichester area). This is our account: https://v-base.org/volunteernow/.
Hi Jen,
The issue has been reported to do-it. We'll update the status once we get the response from do-it api team.
Thanks
Thank you. This is really driving me up the wall!
Hi Jen
Not sure if it helps but opps will edit on do-it and save ok.
Lorna.
Thanks Lorna, but mine don't seem to be working on either. I get the 'We didn't do-it' error message on do-it. :-(
We have been trying to update opportunities on do-it, it may be something as simple as ammending the advertisment date and then when you click save a publish i get the Sorry we didnt do-it comment too. This has been ongoing for the last several weeks, any reason as to a) why it is happening and b) when it will get resolved.
Glad it's not just us!
Hi Is anyone else still having problems with this as it is still happening to me ?
Yes. It is still happening with us as well.
Hi Tracey,
We've forwared the issue details to Do-it API team.
Thanks
Hi Jen.
Only just seen this post as i went on to the Cloud to report the same issue as it has been happening for a few months now. I notice they have logged it as a bug but if you want to make changes in the meantime, the only way to do it is to save the opportunity with the organisations address rather than putting regional, which doesn't give you the option for a postcode. It will then save the changes. If you want the opportunity to still be live you can then go back into it and save it as regional and it should work. It is not ideal and is time consuming but at least you can do it that way.
Hope this helps
Hi Everyone
I tryed to make one of my opportunties live as it had expired and its still doing the same to me i wanted is a no fixed location but it keeps telling me i need a valid postcode
Hi Im still having problems. Im trying save an opportunity as a draft that has expired as i need to keep it on the system ( incase they want to advertise again but i dont want it as expired as ive already called them so would be better as a draft to save confusion) and it says it has changed it to draft but is hasnt and i still can not save opps because of the postcode issue, is anyone else still having the same problems and how are you getting round this please.
Help would be much appritiated
Thank you
Any news on when this is going to be updated i still cant save opps sometimes even if i put the organisations details in it still dont save its very frustrating now.
Is anyone else still haveing the same problem ?
Ive tryed doing what Janette Holden says to do but still having no luck
Thank you
Tracey
Hi everyone,
This issue is caused by odd behaviour of Do-it api and we've informed this to do-it api team.
Thanks
Hii Gopi.
This is still happening. I curerently have quite a few opportunities that are about to expire, but can't update them and save them if they are regional as it says it can't save as it requires a postcode. This has been going on for at least 6 months now. Please can you tell me if it is supposed to have been fixed.
Thanks
Hi Janette,
We've sent your API logs and error details to Do-it API team. I'll update the status here once they findout and fix the issue.
Thanks
