Can't save opportunities today [Resolved]

I don't seem to be able to save any opportunities today, it keeps asking for a valid UK postcode. I have reported this to VEDA but just wondered if anyone else was having the same problem?

I had this problem on do-it and reported to support, they are working on it. Haven't tried on v-base cloud.

Same here, keep getting a message telling me the post code is incorrect, but I know for sure that it is correct.

We were having this problem too where some fields in the 'Fixed' location field were entered. Once we clicked the drop down away from the Regional area and added a postcode they entered fine.

Mine still not working :-(

Thanks Heather but that doesn't seem to be the issue for us. Even with opps that are at a fixed address with all the details entered (including a valid postcode) it still won't save.

Hi All,

A quick update on this, we've noticed some odd behaviour with the Do-it APIs which is resulting in these issues. We've raised it with the do-it team and are awaiting their response. Once we have it we'll revert.

Thanks

Gopi

Hi all,

This is to inform that Do-it have corrected the issues at their end and things should working fine now. If your still having issues then please do let us know.

Thanks

hi Gopi

i have just discovered that i am having the same problem and it is 16:36 - opportunity doesn't save because i haven't entered a valid uk postcode even though the opp form doesn't actually ask me for one at any point. then all my data is wiped.i have tried twice now but can't face a third time! please can you have a look at this issue again? thanks

Gopi

Hi Lorraine,

We've noticed the same issue again with the Do-it APIs today. We've raised it with the do-it team and once they fixed it, we'll update.

Apologize for any inconvenience.

Problem still occurring on Monday 25th, any update please?

Hi - We've provided Do-it a more detailed error report as the problem still exists on their side. Hopefully this should mean the do-it team can resolve the issue very soon. Thanks

Continuing issues on this...

Gopi

Hi,

We received a response from do-it that a new rule, which requires postcode as a mandatory field even if we select 'regional' as location type, has been added to saving opportunities. We're in the process of implementing this change into VBC and are hoping to have it completed within the next 24hrs.

Thanks

Gopi

Hi everyone,

The issue with saving opportunities has been fixed now. Opportunities can be created or edited  and saved without any issues now.

Thanks

Shahenaz

Can't save any new opportunity today, I can update the opportunity already on cloud.

I tried to update VBASE CLOUD with three new opportunities yesterday and it didn't work, don't seem to be able to save any new opportunities today on VBASE CLOUD, it keeps asking for a valid UK postcode, valid address etc.any help?.

Gopi

Hi Shahenaz,

We can't see any records of  'Bolton CVS' trying to create a new opportunity today. Could you confirm the name of Volunteer Centre you are managing and site url please?

Hi Gopi,

Can you please confirm that when we try to save a new opp on do-it, we are going to be required to put in a postcode even when we select the regional area option? I see big problems with this and just want to make sure that I have the right end of the stick before I email do-it about it? Thanks.

Gopi

Hi Jen,

We are sorry about the previous comment #16 about the new rules in saving opportunity. Postcode will be a mandatory field if we select 'Fixed Location' as location type when adding or editing an opportunity.

Thanks

Thanks for clarifying!
