Colour coding of Do-it applications

Could I suggest that another 'layer' of colour coding is added to the My Do-It Applications section? It has become apparent that those marked as 'green' ahve been being ignored as though they were completed, even though they may be repeat applicants. We are now going back through all of the applications on the system to check that the enquiries have actually been dealt with. Perhaps there could be an alterntaive way of showing volunteers whose applciations have not yet been dealt with, even if they already have a record in the database?

Hi Heather,

We have introduced another code now to differentiate processed applications on My Do-it Applications page.

Thanks

Claire Jones

I've got a query with this as the system doesn't recognise they are not new volunteers or so it seems.  When clicking on the actions drop down menu, there is only the option to import and the system thinks it is a new volunteer.  I'm reticent to import just in case it creates a new volunteer record, I did select import and it asks if you want vbase to create a volunteer record??  Incidentally I've noticed there must be a glitch somewhere from Monday where a volunteer seems to have been imported and now has multiple duplicated import volunteer activities recorded.

Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks

Claire

Hi Claire

I just had one of my team test this with a multiple applicant and can confirm it does not create a second volunteer record. In our experience it also did not create a second Volunteer Imported activity either.

Thanks Heather... Always wary of duplication particularly with Databases, very brave of you to test!!

Hi everyone

So ive had a volunteer come through Do-it and applyed for about 5 opportunities,

It was in green as there is already a volunteer record for this volunteer,

the only thing is that i had to click import 5 times for each opportunity as the tick boxes on the side only appear for volunteers whos record does not exist yet. ( in White)

Is this the same for everyone or am i doing something wrong ?

Thank you

Gopi

Hi Tracey,

Bulk import option has been enabled for all the unprocessed applications now.(white & light green rows) Please have a look

Thanks

I really like this new feature as it saves lots of time.  One of the things we do though is change the subject of the application to include both the opportunity title and the organisation it relates to.  We also link it to the organisation and opportunity using the fields at the top of the activity box so that it shows up in their records also.

What i've noticed is that when we make these alterations when you go back to the my do-it applications they are then back to light green and needing importing again, even though they now exist under the volunteer record.  Can this be fixed or do i need to stop doing one or both of the changes as mentioned above?

Thanks

Claire

Hi Claire,

Making changes to the subject doesn't affect the application status on My Do-it Applications page. However, changing the linked opportunity for the activity will change the status of the application  hence it will go back to light green. Hope this helps

Thanks
