Ten days ago I send this long list of problems to VEDA and am still awaiting a repsonse.

I cannot get Vbase to work in all these areas:

1. Searching for live volunteering opportunities.

Using search live volunteer roles it will not find roles I know are on the do it website.

For example if I search using the tag “museums” it does not find any roles that are live on do-it with the tag “museums” such as this role

Worse still when it does eventually find things it often lists opportunities that are not “live” on do-it which wastes everyone’s time.

Searching under suitability’s does not work at all, if I search for under 18 roles no roles come up at all.  If I search for roles for disabled people no roles come up either – there are opportunities on both of these areas on do-it.  

The “geographical area” search does not work at all.  I would like to search by postcode, is this possible? How?

Geographical area – I have followed your instructions to add areas of Bradford however it makes no difference when searching at all.  

The print feature does not work on our PC’s with XP, a new tab opens and then disappears.   If we are very fast we can cut and paste this link however if we do this the margins go all funny are very large and prints on several extra pages.

The print feature only prints basic details about volunteering roles, including the contact details three times, it does not print info about access, or DBS checks.  If the description is long it chops it off.

1. Adding new volunteers

It is not possible to search volunteers by date which makes it really difficult to find the newly registered volunteers, is it possible to have a search by date? Or last 10 added?

1. Adding unplaced opportunities to volunteers

This automatically emails to the organisation and we do not want it to.  Also the organisations get no explanation in the email of what the email is about or the contact details of the volunteer.  Is it possible to log what roles the volunteer has been assigned without emailing the organisation?

1. Custom Fields

Under the main administration user I have added some countries to the countries list, however volunteers add their details to  pc logged in with a lower level of rights and the countries added do not show up in the list.  Because we do not want the public to be able to delete things we cannot let them self register on a v-base with full administration rights.

I want to add a question about sexual orientation, it is not clear how to do this.  It is not clear how to add any extra questions. 

1. Importing volunteers from do-it.org

I want to import all the volunteers from do-it.org to vbase, how can I do this without clicking each individual volunteer. We have over 3000 volunteers to import and deal with 8000 per year.  So I spend two hours clicking each one and having done this none of these volunteers are coming up in the reports at all, not one.
